Me-and-Us Open-Access Courses Terms of Business
1. Your Contract with Us (i) These conditions shall apply to all Open-Access training courses offered by Me-and-Us Ltd. (ii) An Open-Access training course is one where people from a number of different organisations can attend the course and the content of the course is devised and defined by Me-and-Us Ltd. (iii) Your contract with us shall take effect from the time that we confirm your booking with us by way of your booking reference. (iv) Your contract with us is governed by English law and the English courts shall have non-exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute with us. (v) By making a booking with us, you accept that these Terms of Business apply both to you and to all persons on whose behalf your booking is also made and you thereby confirm that you have the necessary authority of such persons to do so on their behalf.
2. Payment (i) All prices are given in UK pounds sterling and denote the price of the training course. (ii) In the case of a change in costs, Me-and-Us Ltd may adjust prices if the period between the date given on the confirmation of order and the proposed date of delivery exceeds 12 months. (iii) Prices are excluding VAT unless specifically stated. (iv) For plcs, government departments, local authorities, health authorities, schools and other official or statutory bodies located with the European Union, confirmation of booking will follow the receipt by Me-and-Us Ltd of full payment or an official order signed by an authorized person after which payment is then due within 30 days of the course taking place. (v) For all other customers, confirmation of booking will follow receipt of full payment for the places on the training course. (vi) Payment may be made by cheque in UK pounds sterling, by international money order, by credit card, or by a direct credit to a bank account designated by Me-and-Us Ltd.
3. Booking (i) When you make a booking for a course, either with an official order in accordance with Clause 2(iv) above or by payment for the course, you will be given a booking reference which confirms your place or places on the course. (ii) An Open-Access course will take place only provided sufficient numbers of people have booked on the course to make a training course practical to run and this will be determined by Me-and-Us Ltd two weeks before the course is due to commence at which point we shall send you a confirmation that the course is taking place. (iii) If a course fails to recruit sufficient people to make it practical to run then two weeks before the course is due to commence we shall advise you that this course is cancelled on those dates and give you the option of changing to an alternative course or being refunded in full any payments you have made for the course that has been cancelled. (iv) Where owing to the cancellation of a course due to insufficient participants you choose to attend an alternative course any difference in cost will be charged or refunded in full unless agreed otherwise in writing. (v) If you arrive as a participant on a course for which you have not pre-booked and been given a booking reference then we reserve the right to refuse you entry to the course.
4. Amendments, Cancellations and Refunds (i) Participants booked on an Open-Access course arranged by Me-and-Us Ltd may change to a different Open-Access course arranged by Me-and-Us Ltd provided there are places available on the alternative course and provided the change is notified to us more than one month before the originally-booked course commences and in doing so will be charged solely for the difference in any advertised fees. (ii) A change to an alternative course within one month of the date that the originally-booked course is due to commence will be treated as a cancellation and re-booking. (iii) Where a change of training course that is not a cancellation and re-booking is to a course for which the advertised fee is lower than the course originally booked, a refund for the difference will be made. (iv) When a place on a course is cancelled by a participant, the fee will be waived or refunded subject to a deduction for cancellation charges as follows:

Safety and Security (i) If you have any requirements relating to physical or mental disability then we shall make every effort to accommodate these provided you inform us of your requirements at least two weeks before the course is due to commence, if you fail to inform us then we reserve the right to refuse you access to the course and to treat your booking as a cancellation. (ii) Smoking is not permitted in the training room or while in the company of other course participants in communal areas. (iii) You are required to be responsible for the safety and security of your own personal property when attending a course. |
