Hilary Dixon
Hilary is a highly experienced and skilled facilitator, trainer and consultant. The focus of her work is:
  facilitation of teams – team development, managing change and dealing with difficulties
  training trainers – sexual health skills (based around the Sexual Health Skills manual) and generic training skills
  consultancy on sex and relationships education, staff development and management issues
  innovative and developmental projects around sex and relationships education, sexual health, training and management
  training and consultancy on key concepts and skills in PSHE, such as risk-taking; effective communication skills; beliefs, values and attitudes
Training in Personal, Social and Health Education
Hilary has many years experience of working with education and health professionals as a trainer and consultant. In the 1990s she trained all the teachers who took part in the research-based SHARE programme (see What is SHARE) in Scotland, and has since trained both trainers and practitioners to deliver the modified SHARE programme which is now widely used across Scotland. She was also responsible from 2003 to 2005 for the training element of the Home Office Blueprint Drug Education Research Programme – training that has been evaluated very highly (see Blueprint Delivery Report). She offers:
  training for trainers in PSHE, SRE and in generic training skills
  consultancy on SRE and training issues
  training and consultancy on key concepts and skills in PSHE, such as risk-taking; effective communication skills; beliefs, values and attitudes
Training for Trainers in Sexual Health Skills and Sex and Relationships Education
Hilary has many years experience of working as a trainer in the sexual health field, in particular working with education and health professionals on SRE for young people. She has brought her wealth of experience together in Sexual Health Skills: a Manual for Trainers on Sexual Health and Sex and Relationships Education. She offers a two-day training for trainers course using the manual as a foundation for the training.
